
Vocational Specialist (Full Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI
Our Community Support Program is searching for a Vocational Specialist to support individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges in preparing for competitive employment and/or furthering their education.

As a Vocational Specialist, you will focus on:
- Vocational assessment,
- Skill-building,
- Career exploration,
- Job development, and
- Job coaching.
Your role will also include:
- Identifying and building upon individuals’ strengths.
- Identifying and addressing individuals’ barriers/challenges to employment/education. assisting individuals with developing and working on recovery plan goals,
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and collaborating care with employers, educators, family members, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and other multidisciplinary team members to support individuals in attaining their goals.
This position is looking for an individual who:
- Can work independently, but also as a team player.
- Can demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong computer skills, knowledge of relevant ethical guidelines in behavioral health practice, and a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices/evidence-based practices.
- Has prior experience in employment services and working in the community behavioral health field is preferred.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
- Associates Degree in the Human Services field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Approved driver’s record, insurance, and reliable transportation required!
