Warwick, RI – The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council (SUMHLC) has announced a pilot training program designed to address workforce needs in Rhode Island. The Training Resources and Information Network of RI (TRAIN RI) will offer a range of affordable courses taught by experienced instructors that cover essential topics for professionals in mental health and substance use addiction. TRAIN RI will offer CEUs for professionals looking to renew or obtain their professional licenses.
Provides trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and enhanced evidence-based services, such as Trauma Systems Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, for children, youth and their caregivers in the community and in the office. Collaborates on cases with case managers, psychiatric team, and other service providers to ensure best client care. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed. Works as part of a trauma-focused multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based practices such as Trauma Systems Therapy with fidelity.
