    • 2026 Community Conversations and Community Overdose Engagement (CODE) Summit

      • Thursday, November 5, 2026 · 8:30am-3:00pm
      • Crowne Plaza Hotel Ballroom, 801 Greenwich Ave, Warwick, RI 02886

Overview This event offers participants a chance to learn and engage with Rhode Islanders committed to breaking stigma & ending the overdose crisis. Substance use and drug overdose affect every community in Rhode Island. In 2025, our state saw a historic 50% decrease in fatal overdoses compared with 2022, marking the third consecutive year that fatal overdoses decreased statewide. There were 219 lives lost, the lowest number of overdose deaths in Rhode Island since 2012. This progress gives us hope and shows what is possible when communities come together with a shared commitment to save and improve lives, because one life lost is one too many. Please join us at this year's statewide Community Conversations and CODE Summit, where you will have opportunities to: Learn and connect with fellow Rhode Islanders committed to breaking stigma and ending the overdose crisis; Share information about local resources and support services; Engage with state, municipal, and community leaders to learn how to address stigma; and Hear from Rhode Island Health Equity Zone/CODE grant recipients and their impact on local communities.
